SUMMARY: The weather for the weekend and beginning of next week will be humid with increased chances of rain and storms. A surge of moisture is coming in from the Gulf of Mexico, affecting Florida and parts of Mississippi. The showers will struggle to reach the area, but some areas will see showers passing through. Temperatures will be around 90 degrees, but the mugginess will make it feel hotter. Showers and storms will continue into the weekend, but there will be dry periods to enjoy. Rain is needed to help alleviate the extreme drought. After Tuesday, drier air will lower rain chances. In the tropics, Tropical Storm Edalia is expected to pass through Bermuda, but there are no tropical concerns along the Gulf Coast at this time. Temperatures will reach the mid 90s by the middle of next week with continuing chances of rain.

SUMMARY: Sempra Infrastructure is taking steps to lower the carbon intensity of their LNG production at facilities like Cameron LNG in Hackberry. Despite concerns about President Biden's halt on new LNG projects, this will not affect Cameron LNG. The company is pursuing carbon sequestration projects near the Cameron and Port Arthur LNG sites. It has also entered a non-binding preliminary memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japan Bank for International Cooperation to collaborate on energy transition projects, including LNG and hydrogen, to enhance the energy supply chain in the U.S. and Japan. The progress of the projects depends on various approvals and financial decisions.
