SUMMARY: Bridge crews have been working all day to clear the bridge and roadway after a major pile-up. Cars have been removed and debris has been picked up. Engineers are currently inspecting the bridge before it can be reopened. The bridge closure has caused heavy traffic, and motorists are being forced to use alternate routes. The Department of Transportation and emergency responders have been cleaning up the area. Once the bridge is deemed safe, it will reopen, and potential repairs or lane restrictions will be announced. State police are investigating the incident and changes may be made based on their findings. The death toll has risen to eight.
