Morning Forecast – Thursday, Feb. 8th

Published

www.youtube.com – – 2024-02-08 07:40:17

SUMMARY: The content discusses the weather forecast, stating that strong southwest winds will bring moisture from the Pacific to the area, leading to cloudy skies and possible showers. A cold front will move in on Saturday, bringing widespread showers and a few thunderstorms, with estimated rainfall of 1″-3″. Although severe weather is not expected, more rain and thunderstorms may continue into Sunday. The weather pattern will stabilize on Tuesday, with cooler temperatures expected later in the week. The content also mentions the strengthening of southwest winds and the presence of a trough and subtropical moisture.

Clouds will remain in place thanks to strong southwesterly flow aloft allowing for a plume of pacific moisture to flow across the area. Low level clouds will begin to spark back up as a weak boundary layer draws nearer allowing for enough uplift for a few patchy showers this afternoon. Same story tomorrow as skies remain cloudy with patchy showers possible. A cold front will dip in later on Saturday sparking up widespread showers and a few t-storms. Rainfall estimates look to be from 1″-3″ which prompts a slight risk for excessive rainfall. Severe weather is not expected, but more rain and t-storms could drag over into Sunday as the unstable pattern continues. Sunshine returns next Tuesday as temperatures trend a tad cooler later next week.
