SUMMARY: The New Orleans City Council has concluded its investigation into a controversial mailer sent out by the city, with results to be announced next week. This follows conflicting testimony from high-ranking members of the Cantrell administration. The investigation has been ongoing for months and involves a promotional mailer sent during a petition drive to recall Mayor Latoya Cantrell. The council has rescinded a subpoena to remaining witnesses and has reportedly reached several findings. It is uncertain if the investigation will lead to criminal charges, but it is seen as a battle between the council and administration with taxpayers caught in the middle. City Council President JP Morrell will announce findings on Tuesday.

The city council will likely render its decision early next week.
