Acadiana Live: May Day at St. Martin de Tours
SUMMARY: St Martin day chores will have their Mayday procession and Pageant on Wednesday, May 1st. Deacon Adam and Seth explained that the event started in 1949 to reclaim May from communism and promote the dignity of workers. The procession will begin at St Martin detours church at 6:00 p.m. with a mass and Eucharistic procession. The children will act out scenes of Our Lady of Fatima in a 20-minute play. There will be free food and the event is family-friendly. The last event was 13 years ago, so they are expecting a big crowd. Attendees should come prepared with walking shoes and arrive by 6 p.m. at St Martin detours on Wednesday.
The May Day Procession and Pageant are back at St. Martin de Tour in Breaux Bridge. The evening will begin with mass at 6pm, followed by the procession and pageant.

Severe Weather Watch Live
SUMMARY: focused primarily along the Southshore as the storms move quickly eastward. The primary concern remains the strong winds, with the possibility of embedded tornadoes within the bow echo. Flash flood warnings are also in effect for the metro area due to intense rainfall rates. Rotation has been observed in certain areas, leading to tornado warnings that have since been cancelled as the rotation moves away from populated areas towards Lake Pontchartrain. The storms are expected to clear out by early morning hours, with the Northshore experiencing less severe weather compared to the Southshore. Water spouts may develop over Lake Pontchartrain as the storms move eastward. Overall, the storms are on a weakening trend, but caution is advised for those in the path of the strong winds and potential rotation.
