The law requires a poster-sized display with a context statement in classrooms from kindergarten to state-funded universities by 2025, funded through donations. Proponents view it as historically significant, while opponents, including civil rights groups, plan to sue, arguing it's unconstitutional and marginalizes non-Christian students. This move reflects a broader conservative agenda under the new GOP-led state government. Similar legislation has faced legal challenges and has not been enacted in other states.
