Teen arrested in home invasion, sexual assault – American Press
SUMMARY: A 17-year-old from Lake Charles was arrested after a home invasion and sexual assault early Sunday on 14th Street. The teen initially burglarized a vehicle before entering the home and assaulting the victim, who was later treated and released from the hospital. Lake Charles Police recovered video evidence and DNA that led to a positive identification. Charged with burglary, home invasion, and second-degree rape, the suspect was detained by LCPD SWAT on Dautel Street and is now in a juvenile detention center. The investigation is continuing, and the public has been asked for further information.
