64,000 liquid IV packs donated for weary firefighters – American Press

SUMMARY: The Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana has launched its Emergency Relief Fund and received donations from LyondellBasell, Sasol, and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. The first donation will be 64,000 IV Fluid Packs, requested by the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, to help firefighters and first responders stay hydrated. LyondellBasell and Sasol have also contributed skilled staff, money, and supplies to assist in responding to the wildfires. The Sasol Fund at the Community Foundation has directed $10,000 to the Emergency Relief Fund, while LyondellBasell contributed $25,000 and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation donated $60,000. Donations can be made online or by mail.
